Right-of-Return:
I want you to be happy with your purchase: You have a "10-day right-of-return", which means that if you find that the item is DOA or not as I described or pictured it, you may ship it back to me within 10 days of receiving it, and you may be refunded your purchase price (not including my shipping costs). You would need to pay for the return shipping and insurance, and the item would have to be in the same condition as it was just before I shipped it to you.
I know that for most people, the following doesn't need to be said, but I have to say it anyway: The right-of-return is only valid if something is actually wrong with the item, and it is not as I described or pictured it. It does not include "changing your mind", for example. The right-of-return is also not a guarantee of the item's absolute perfection, since, with used equipment, there is always the possibility of things like noisy switches or controls, signs of wear, etc. And the final refund decision would still be mine alone.
Note that "within 10 days", above, means 10 days, not 10 business days. But it does not mean that I must receive the item within 10 days. It means only that you must have it shipped within 10 days of the day you received it, by a shipping method acceptable to me. So, you must contact me before shipping an item back, for my approval, unless, of course, I am unavailable for the entire 10 days, in which case you may simply wait until I AM available, but not longer than 21 days.
Note that you have a 10-day right-of-return, if an item is DOA, or is not as described or pictured by me. That means that you would have to ship it back within 10 days of receiving it. It doesn't mean that I have to receive it within ten days, only that it must be shipped by you, by then. But also note that you MUST obtain my approval for a return, and for the shipping method, etc, before shipping anything back, and that the final decision on whether or not to refund your purchase price will be mine alone.
I HOPE that MOST people don't need to be told the following. But, because of a very few unrealistic individuals, and I hope even-fewer actually-dishonest ones, I have to say it anyway. (If you're not one of them, please, please, PLEASE, don't be offended!) The right-of-return does not apply for minor imperfections, such as "noisy" controls, or minor blemishes or flaws (although I try to fix, or at least describe, such things, if I find them), or the normal wear-and-tear expected in used equipment, and, also, most certainly does not apply for reasons such as "changing your mind", or "only needed to use it for 9 days anyway", etc, et al! (Believe me, those people are OUT there! Luckily, there have been only a very few (so far, anyway)!)
If I say it's working, and it arrives DOA, THEN you can probably return it! If I say it's fully-tested and fully-functional, and not everything works, THEN you can probably return it. If I say it's fully-tested, fully-functional, and calibrated within the manufacturer's specs, and it's not, THEN you can probably return it. Of course, shipping damage is excluded (You file a claim against the shipper. Duh.), so none of the above are even remotely likely to happen! Note that a returned item MUST be in the exact same condition it was in just before I shipped it. If I suspect a bogus or fraudulent return attempt, I will compare serial numbers, photos, and my detailed test logs. If it doesn't look and test the same way it did before shipping, you better have a pretty good story! And if I said it appears to work, but I don't know exactly how it's supposed to work, and you receive it and there's something major wrong with its functionality, THEN we can talk about it. Although, as I said, the final decision is mine. Of course, keep in mind that I want you to be happy. If you're honest and reasonable, then you have nothing to worry about, because I am, too.
